In his final game for the España-based squad, midfielder Josh Moleje delivered a defining moment for the Junior Golden Booters as they ended FEU’s 12-year championship reign in spectacular fashion.

Moleje's final match was more than just a farewell—it was a tribute to the 14 graduating players who had guided him and his teammates throughout their journey.

“I told them [before the game], ‘Let's give the seniors one last chapter that they can always remember for the rest of their lives,” Moleje told TomasinoWeb.

“Let's give them a win. And, some of the rookies and us, not graduating players, we gave them the win they deserve for guiding us since day one,” he added.

The 16-year-old midfielder played a pivotal role in securing the title as he netted a crucial goal in the 40th minute to put UST in the lead.

He credited their championship success to the discipline and determination instilled to them in UST.

“It’s all about discipline. Without it, you can’t win anything. We played a full 90 minutes, if one of us *nawalan ng disiplina, *we could've lost,” the national team player said.

“‘Yong disiplina namin since Monday, noong naglaro kami against La Salle, full discipline talaga kami. Pumunta kami dito sa championship fully prepared to win this," he added.

His exceptional performance throughout the season also earned him the Best Midfielder award—just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting career ahead.

Moleje is off to the next big step in his career as he set sights for Valencia, Spain in May to train with La Liga Segunda side Levante UD, hoping to break in as one of the few homegrown Filipinos to do so.
