Four-time UAAP beach volleyball MVP Sisi Rondina was present at the SM Sands by the Bay in Pasay to show her support for the Tiger Sands on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Rondina applauded the hard work and commitment of the players and coaches who have made eight straight finals appearances in both divisions.

“Parang ginawang business [ng mga coaches and players] ‘yung commitment nila sa game. I think doon talaga nagsta-start,” she said to TomasinoWeb.

The UST stalwart is confident that the new generation of Tiger Sands will continue the winning legacy they established a few years back.

“Hindi naman na namin kailangan sila pagsabihan kasi I know na guided sila very well ng mga coaches,” she said.

“And sa totoo lang, mas maraming experience ‘yung mga bata. I know kaya nila at alam kong pag-iigihan nila na maganda ‘yung outcome,” Rondina added.

The Alas Pilipinas mainstay also praised rising stars Alche Gupiteo and Dominique Gabito, and the bright potentials of sophomore Sofiah Pagara and rookie Khy Progella.

“I know mas angat pa [sila] sa amin. And siguro kung meron similarity man sila sa amin, I think ‘yung winning attitude and ‘yung attitude towards the game,” she said.

Rondina played for the Tiger Sands and Golden Tigresses from Season 77 to 81, earning numerous championships and awards across both divisions.
