UST improves in February 2025 mechanical engineering boards

The University improved its passing rate in the February 2025 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examinations (MELE).

Results released by the Professional Regulation Commission on Monday, Feb. 24, showed that 76 out of 148 Thomasians passed the exam—a passing rate of 51.35%, up from 35.21% in August 2024.

The University of the Philippines - Diliman is the top mechanical engineering school, with 52 out of 48 passers (92.31%).

Nico Tejano from the University of Cebu led the batch with a 93.5 score.

The examinations were held last Feb. 17, 18, and 19 in testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, and Zamboanga.
