After coming in second last June 2024, the University emerged as the only top-performing school in the January 2025 Licensure Examination for Architects (ALE) while four Thomasians clinched spots in the top-performing examinees list.
UST produced 74 new architects from its 84 examinees, results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday, Jan. 28, showed.
UST’s passing rate is slightly lower at 88.10 percent compared to 88.82 percent in June 2024, where 143 examinees passed.
Thomasian Kimberlane Go ranked second with an 82.70 percent score, while Thomasians Eileene Joyce Gatus and Anna Martinez both ranked seventh with a score of 81.80 percent.
Kate Mikee Mayormita secured the ninth spot, scoring 81.60 percent.
Ckristel Daguio and Marissa Ragaza from the University of the Philippines - Diliman led the topnotchers with a 82.80 percent score.
According to the PRC, 1,052 out of 1,792 passed the licensure exam with a 58.71 percent national passing rate, lower than the 62.14 percent last year.
The ALE was conducted from Jan. 21 to 23 across testing sites in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
