Two Thomasians secured spots in the top 10 of the June 2024 Architecture Licensure Examinations (ALE), while the University was No. 2 in the list of top performing schools, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Wednesday, June 19.
Thomasian Jarvis Lyle Cal Ortiz was ranked at the fourth spot with an 82.10 percent rating, while Basilio Jose Carolina landed at No. 8 after receiving an 81.70 percent score.
Meanwhile, the University slid to the second spot on the list of top-performing schools after producing 143 new architects out of 161 examinees. Its passing rate was 88.82 percent.
In the January 2024 ALE, UST is the sole top-performing school with 82.09 percent (110 passers out of 134 takers).
UST was second to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, which gained 56 passers out of 60 examinees for 93.33 percent passing rate.
According to the PRC, there were 2,094 passers out of 3,370 examinees for the June 2024 architecture boards.
Louie Nathaniel Kiu of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. Inc., led the batch with an 83.80 percent rating.
The architecture board exam was conducted at testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu,Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga on June 11 and 13.
