UST is second-best school in October 2024 electronics technicians exam; 2 snag places in electronics boards

The University was named the second-best school in the October 2024 Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination (ECT), results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), alongside Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination (ECE) on Oct. 29, 2024.

UST achieved a 91.86 percent score after 79 out of 86 examinees passed the Electronics Technicians boards. This is an improvement from the 80.95. percent rate during the April 2024 exams.

Ryan Angelo Argenal clinched No. 3 with a 90 percent passing score alongside 18 topnotchers.

Niele Bañas from the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas and Mapua University (For M.I.T) Ivan Lau led the batch with a 93 percent score.

Electronics Engineering boards

Meanwhile, Thomasian Nathan Earl Millado shared the tenth spot with a score of 87.9 percent in the Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination with Rizal Technological University’s Renair Palabasan.

Patrick Santisidad from the University of the Philippines-Diliman topped the ECE with a 91.9 percent passing rate.

UST recorded a 70.75 percent score, a jump from the 45.31 percent during the April 2024 boards.

PRC hailed the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila as the top school in both the electronics technicians and engineers exams, with a 100 percent passing rate and 88.57 percent, respectively.

Both examinations were held in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Legazpi, Iloilo, Lucena, Pampanga, Zamboanga, Rosales, and Tuguegarao.
