UST Tiger TV, a branch of Tiger Media Network in charge of television programs, hosts the annual UAAP Kickoff Party at the Quadricentennial Pavilion (QPAV).
After inclement weather saw classes suspended on Sept. 4, the Kickoff Party will finally take place on Friday, Sept. 6, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., which will allow the Thomasian community to showcase their full support for its athletes.
During the kickoff party, student-athletes are set to entertain Thomasians with performances, while the audience can join in an array of mini-games for a chance to win different sets of prizes.
Right after the kickoff party, the athletes will parade around the University, set to start at 5:30 p.m.
Following the athletes' parade, the UST Golden Tigresses is set to go against the 2023 PVL Invitational champions, Kurashiki Ablaze volleyball club team, in an exhibition match at 6:30 p.m.
Gates for the highly anticipated exhibition match will open at 5:30 p.m. and will only be exclusive to Thomasian students and staff members.
Tiger’s Fair
Alongside the event, TTV will also hold the “Tiger’s Fair,” an event that will immerse Thomasians in a series of athletic activities led by the Thomasian athletes.
The fair will take place outside the grounds of the QPAV arena beside Quezon Drive and will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. up until 7:00 p.m.
“Tiger’s Fair” aims to serve as a “dynamic” addition to the University’s kickoff party and will also aim to “energize” the Thomasian community this upcoming season.
Online viewers may catch the event live at the official Facebook page of UST Tiger TV.
