The University was hailed as the fifth-best performing school during the August 2024 Electrical Engineering (EE) Licensure Examinations, results released on Friday, Aug. 28, by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) show.
UST produced 23 new electrical engineers from its 26 examinees, recording a score of 88.46-percent. The University maintained its performance from the April 2024 boards, wherein it received an 88.00-percent score (22 passers out of 25 takers).
University of the Philippines-Los Baños is the No.1 school after all of its 22 takers passed.
Christopher Regino Maranga of Cebu Institute of Technology University led the batch after receiving a 93.20-percent rate.
PRC recorded a 54.12-percent passing rate after having 1,655 passers out of 3,058 examinees.
Meanwhile, no Thomasian took the master electrician licensure exams this month.
The electrical engineering boards were held at testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, and Davao last Aug. 24-25.
