This coming November 24, you might finally relate to a Taylor Swift lyric in Sparks Fly: Paghahanap, Pagkikita, Bago mag Paskuhan!
Looking for a place to enjoy your Friday night? Come by to Rabbit Hole Cafe around Extramadura St., near the UST Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati building as it holds Sparks Fly.
Organized by Sorry not Sorry, Sparks Fly aims to become a ground for students to meet, socialize, create connections, and even possibly find a date for the much awaited Paskuhan season.
Performers include the four-piece OPM band, The Ridleys, who popularized songs like “Aphrodite”, “Germany and Rome”, and “Maybe.” Thomasian artists will also grace the main stage as we hear from the singer of “Mamaya Na” and his newly released single titled ‘“Puyat”, Sean Archer. “Lovely” and “Lihim” singer Celedonio will also be there to serenade the audience.
Finally, two more Thomasian artists complete this line up with Paolo Palafox who wrote songs in the title of “dapitan (a thomasian love song)” and “p.noval (a thomasian heartbreak)” and singer of the hits “Friendly” and “Maghihintay,” Paul Arcega.
Selling of art merchandise, a photo booth, and other activities will also be present during the mini-concert. Despite the Thomasian-centered theme, doors are also open for non-Thomasians who want to mingle and have a great night.
Pre-sale tickets are priced 350php until November 20, 2023, while walk-in tickets cost 450 php. Both tickets come with a 90 pesos discount off any drink at the venue.
So what are you waiting for? Let’s start our Paskuhan season with live music, fun, and maybe new found friends or dare I say, a Paskuhan date?
Tara! See you there, Thomasians!
