UST Tiger TV and UST Tiger Radio will be at the forefront of this year’s UAAP Kickoff Party on Sept. 12.

A livestream of the event, which will take place at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion, will be broadcast on Facebook via UST Tiger TV.

An event to boost the morale of the Thomasian athlete community for the upcoming UAAP season, the Kickoff Party has long been a Thomasian staple, anticipated yearly for its celebration of Thomasian excellence in various sports. Given UST’s illustrious history at UAAP—garnering the most general championship titles throughout the years—and the fact that the University will host this season, this year’s kickoff party means all the more to the Thomasian community.

Meanwhile, the UST Tiger Radio Caravan will broadcast from the UST Practice Gymnasium, where UST will host the Tiger’s Fair on the same date.

The fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature various booths featuring brands, student-led booths, and sports-themed booths.

Brands present in the fair include Converge, L’Oreal, Monde Nissin Fita, Dairy Queen, Champ Takoyaki, Zandhat’s Food Express, 8 Cups Ice cream, BRB, Shakey’s, and Hawk Bags.

Student-led booths comprise of Fresh Juice Co., Quaileatea, Everything Mushroom, 48 Chicken, Eats Frydays, Bella Bayan Pasteria, Angelic Threads, Stick with JR, Blingyfy, Jeule Studio, Seasalt Studios, Dicey, Spring Blings, Whiskhalifa, and Drizzled Chicken.

Further rousing the spirit of the fair are sports-themed booths under the care of select Thomasian athlete teams which include Arcade (basketball team), Tic-tac-toe (football team), Break the board (pomsae team), Shoot in a bucket (badminton team), Table Tennis (student vs. athlete), Judo training, and Yellow Jackets.

UST Tiger Radio will also cover the Exhibition Match, a game between Growling Tigresses and PVL team Petro Gazz Angels on the same date.

With these activities in place, the University hopes to spread joyful pride among the Thomasian community as it sends off our athletes to vie for gold and glory this UAAP season.
