The Manila Public Information Office (PIO) and the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno released the Jesus Nazareno’s Traslacion procession route and announced the schedules of fiesta Masses ahead of Traslacion 2025 on Thursday, Jan. 9.

The route for the Traslacion on Jan. 9 is as follows:
- Quirino Grandstand
- Right to Katigbak Drive (left side)
- Right to Padre Burgos Street through Finance Road
- Straight to Ayala Bridge
- Left to Palanca Street
- Right to Quezon Boulevard
- Right to Arlegui Street
- Right to Fraternal Street
- Right to Vergara Street
- Left to Duque de Alba Street
- Left to Castillejos Street
- Left to Farnecio Street
- Right to Arlegui Street
- Left to Nepomuceno Street
- Left to Concepcion Aguila Street
- Right to Carcer Street
- Right to Hidalgo through Plaza del Carmen
- Left to Bilibid Viejo through Gonzalo Puyat
- Left to J.P. de Guzman Street
- Right to Hidalgo Street
- Left to Quezon Boulevard
- Right to Palanca Street through under Quezon Bridge
- Right to Villalobos through Plaza Miranda going to Quiapo Church
According to the Manila PIO, here are the fifteen roads that will be closed from 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 until Thursday, Jan. 9:
- Bonifacio Drive (from Anda Circle to P. Burgos Ave.)
- Katigbak Drive and South Drive (One Lane Accessible to Manila Hotel and H20 Hotel).
- Independence Road
- Roxas Blvd. (from Katigbak to U.N. Ave.)
- P. Burgos (from Roxas Blvd. to Jones, McArthur, and Quezon Bridge.)
- Finance Rd. (from P. Burgos Ave. to Taft Ave.)
- Ma. Orosa St. (from T.M. Kalaw to P. Burgos Ave.)
- Taft Ave. (from U.N. Ave. to P. Burgos Ave.)
- Romualdez St. (from U.N Ave. to Ayala Blvd.)
- Ayala Ave. (from Taft Ave. to Romualdez St.)
- C. Palanca St. (from P. Casal to Plaza Lacson)
- P. Casal St. (from C. Palanca to Arlegui St.)
- Legarda St. (from CM. Recto Ave. to Arlegui St.)
- Quezon Blvd. (from Fugoso St. to Quezon Bridge)
- Westbound Lane España BIvd. (from P. Campa to Lerma St.)
Devotees intending to take part in the Traslacion have been reminded that:
- Climbing onto the carriage carrying the Nazareno image is prohibited.
- They may join the Traslacion by entering through the 14 prayer stations along the procession route.
- They should make way for the carriage and space for the procession rope.
- Devotees may toss their handkerchiefs toward the Hijos del Nazareno on the carriage.
- They should use a waist bag or a transparent bag.
- Persons with disabilities and the sick are encouraged to wait at the side of the procession route.
- Hoodies, caps, and umbrellas are prohibited while in the procession.
- Devotees are encouraged to use transparent water bottles.
Meanwhile, the ninth day of the novena in honor of Jesus Nazareno is set for Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Quiapo Church.
The novena is scheduled at 11:45 a.m. and the Holy Mass will be at 12:15 p.m., while continuous fiesta Masses will start at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
The fiesta Misa Mayor is scheduled at Thursday midnight, Jan. 9, at the Quirino Grandstand and will be presided by Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula.
“Mas Mabuti ang Pagsunod kaysa Paghahandog sa mga Umaasa kay Jesus” is the theme of this year’s feast.
