Three Thomasians secured spots in top 10 of the December 2024 Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination (CPALE), results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday, Dec. 17 showed.
Thomasians Alexia Nichole Guadalupe and Andrew Halili tied at No.8 with an 88 percent score alongside four other topnotchers, while Alexandra Osia clinched the ninth spot with 87.83 percent, together with four other passers.
UST achieved a 74.43 percent passing rate after 195 out of 262 examinees passed the boards. This year’s score is slightly lower than the 76.90 percent passing rate obtained in the previous year.
Jianne Ilysse Yu from the University of San Carlos led the batch with an 89.67 percent score.
University of the Philippines - Diliman emerged as the top-performing school with a 98.04 percent passing rate.
According to the PRC, this year’s national passing rate is slightly lower, with 3,058 out of 10,136 passing or 30.17 percent, than in September - October 2023’s 31.37 percent passing rate.
The CPALE was conducted from Dec. 6 to 8 across testing sites in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan De Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
