Returning at this year’s Paskuhan season is the much-beloved Paskuhan Pop-Up Village, set to open on December 2, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the UST Quadricentennial Park. To run until December 7, 2024, every day from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the pop-up village is your one-stop shop for Christmas fun and magic, featuring all things Thomasian and Filipino.
In collaboration with the UST SIMBAHAYAN Community Development Office, the event is a cultural buffet that aims to spotlight the beauty and creativity of Filipino culture expressed through Thomasian entrepreneurship. With various booths catering to a wide array of interests, Thomasians will surely never run short of things to like and discover. Enlivening the booths alongside Thomasian entrepreneurs are brands such as Tala by Kyla, Tiger Sugar, Nongshim, Cosmopolitan, Keds Philippines and Sperry, Indomie, Dairy Queen, Andok’s, YOU Cosmetics and Lavojoy, Havaianas, Yummy Tokyo, Binggrae, Life4cuts, Orahex, Chic n’ Choc, HomeRoom Dapitan, and Tender Juicy & Merry Mix.
On December 6, 2024, the event will feature artists Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin from the upcoming movie, “My Future You”, as well as live performances from indie band, SUD, known for hit songs “Sila” and “Baliw”.
Born out of the university’s mission to put culture center stage on the yuletide season, the Paskuhan Pop-Up Village is among the events of the Paskuhan calendar that adds color and joy to the way Thomasians welcome and celebrate the holidays within the campus. Chilly as the holiday weather may seem, the university campus is nonetheless filled with great warmth springing forth from the event’s championing of charity and community—the hallmark of a true Thomasian Christmas.
Good food and a shopping spree sound delightful to you? The village welcomes you with much love and enthusiasm. See you there, Thomasians!
