The University has appointed new officials for the second term of the academic year 2023 to 2024, announced by the Office of the Secretary-General (OSG).
In a circular released on Monday, Jan. 1, nine new officials are expected to take office at the beginning of the second term for five academic and four administrative units.
Among the newly appointed officials is the former Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Letters (AB), Atty. Jacqueline Lopez-Kaw, who will assume the new acting dean position for the Graduate School of Law.
In place of the AB Acting Dean position is Prof. Melanie Turingan, who served as the faculty’s previous assistant dean in 2023.
Another college that is expected to be under new leadership is the Faculty of Pharmacy with its new Assistant Dean Asst. Prof. Renz Kenneth Cadiang who has served for almost ‘seven and a half years’ as the faculty’s secretary, according to the faculty’s official post.
Taking on the position as the new College Secretaries are Asst. Prof. Mary Rose Coronel for the Conservatory of Music and Raphael Emmanuelle Kalaw for the College of Fine Arts and Design.
Also assuming the post of Acting Dean is Assoc. Prof. Al Faithrich Navarrete for the College of Commerce and Business Administration.
Former Director for the Office of Public Affairs Asst. Prof. Joreen Rocamora will serve as the acting director for the Office of Alumni Relations, while Michaella Lagniton will be the new acting director for the Office of Public Affairs.
Master Teacher Victoria Torres was also appointed as the new officer-in-charge for the Junior High School Office of the Assistant Principal.
