Thomasian places 8th in October 2021 chemical engineering boards

A Thomasian ranked eighth in the October 2021 Chemical Engineering Licensure Exams released on Monday, Oct. 11.

Joshua Aldave led the newest batch of Thomasian chemical engineers as he scored 81.3 percent, placing eighth in the top 10 list of passers.

The University did not make the cut of the top-performing schools, but recorded a passing rate of 45.95 percent with 17 out of 37 examinees.

In the last November 2019 licensure exams, the University ranked third with a passing rate of 82.95 percent.

Topping this year's boards were Al Christian Gobres of University of the Philippines — Diliman with a score of 84 percent, followed by Jeffrey Palcone of Adamson University with 83.4 percent.

The University of the Philippines — Diliman emerged as the top-performing school this year with a 100 percent passing rate.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 321 out of 679 passed the said boards.
