UST houses topnotchers in October 2022 CPA licensure exams

Two Thomasians snagged spots in the October 2022 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Exam, results showed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Wednesday, Oct 26.

Francis Matthew Obligacion led the boards with a score of 91 percent, while Marion Jasper Tagle ranked fifth with a score of 88.67 percent.

UST obtained an average rating of 63.90 percent passing rate, with 269 passers out of its 421 examinees.

Kate Marie Buencochillo of the University of Saint La Salle secured the second spot with a score of 90.67 percent.

None of the schools qualified as the top-performing school in this month's CPA boards.

There are 1,722 passers out of 6,665 examinees for the October 2022 CPALE, according to the PRC.

The certified public accountant examinations were conducted in the cities of NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga last Oct. 14 to 16.
