The University of Santo Tomas Galvanize and Prime failed to continue their hot streak in the juniors and seniors division of the UAAP Season 87 street dance competition on Tuesday, May 20, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

UST Prime settled for the silver medal after seizing back-to-back titles last UAAP Season 85 and 86, while USTSHS Galvanize fell short in trying to secure five consecutive championships after finishing fourth this season.

Prime earned a total of 88.57 points, 44.20 for execution, and 43.84 in the artistic category after a zombie apocalypse-themed routine.

UP Streetdance Club’s playing-cards inspired performance helped them snag their first title since Season 78 in 2016, tallying a total of 89.83 points.

La Salle Dance Company-Street grabbed the bronze medal through their tribal-themed routine with 86.17 points.

Galvanize missed the podium for the first time since 2018. They finished fourth with a total of 75.83 points, performing a routine inspired by Lola Amour’s “Raining in Manila”.

The NU Underdawgz etched their name in history, claiming their inaugural juniors division title with a score of 82.83, fueled by a nostalgic early 2000s musical performance.

Ateneo's Indayod ng Atenistang Kabataan secured the silver medal with 80.97 points for their tribal-themed routine, while Adamson rounded out the podium with a bronze finish, scoring 78.57 for their Filipiniana-inspired performance.
