Tiger Media Network bags multiple wins at IBS media conference

The University’s official broadcasting arm, Tiger Media Network (TMN), brought home five awards from the 85th Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) College Media Conference in New York City on March 7 to 8, 2025.

The network radio division, UST Tiger Radio, bagged Best Variety Program for their “Tiger Decodes Onboarding Week Special” broadcast.

UST TigerTV, the television arm of TMN, won the Best Use of Graphics category for its coverage of the Thomasian Welcome Walk in 2024.

TMN volunteers, Ma. Andrea Mendoza won Best Social Media Director, Joshua Isaac Galvez was named Best Promotions Director in Radio, and Sophia Ann Lacson was awarded Best Business Director for Television.

The network was also nominated in the following categories: Best Station Promotional Poster, Best Show Promotional Poster, Best Commercial, Best Social Media Campaign, Best Station Manager for Television, Best Sports Director for Television, Best Creative Services Director, Best Streaming Only Station, and Best College/University Television Station.

TMN was established in 2018 and has been formally recognized and awarded by the IBS since 2020.

The Intercollegiate Broadcasting system is the oldest network of US-based high school and collegiate media networks and outlets since 1940.
