Two Thomasians land in 2024 Bar Top 20; UST is fourth-best law school

Two Thomasians scored places in the top-performing examinees list during the 2024 Bar Examinations, results released by the Supreme Court (SC) on Dec. 13 showed.

Andrew Ambray, the 2024 valedictorian of the Faculty of Civil Law, snagged the 12th spot with a score of 83.44 percent.

Meanwhile, Pierre Angelo Reque II landed at the 20th spot with a score of 82.79 percent, alongside University of the Philippines’ Charles Lijauco.

Topnotcher Kyle Christian Tutor of the University of the Philippines garnered a score of 85.77 percent.

UST emerged as the fourth top-performing school during the Bar, producing 139 new lawyers.

Accompanying UST is the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) at No. 1, University of the Philippines (UP) at No. 2, San Beda University (SBU) at No. 3, and the University of San Carlos (USC) at No. 5, making the list of the five top-performing schools for this year’s Bar.

A total of 3,962 out of 10,490 examinees passed the bar for a 37.84 passing rate, slightly higher than last year’s 36.77 percent.
