Two Thomasians secured spots in the Top 10 of the November 2024 Nutritionist-Dietitians Licensure Examination (NDLE), results showed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
UST’s Faye Beatriz Nuñez placed third with 91.45 percent, tied with Rondell Rey Cuerquis and Tiffany Zaira Garonita from the University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman.
Thomasian Nina Jilliana Cortez obtained the sixth spot with a score of 91.10 percent among Jenny Rose Desepeda from the University of the Philippines - Los Baños and Niel Matthew Mahusay from UP - Diliman.
The PRC recognized the University as the second top-performing school for three years, producing 126 new nutritionist-dietitians out of 128 Thomasian examinees which posted a 98.44 percent passing rate from last year’s 98.56.
Meanwhile, Frances Dominique Agustin of UP - Diliman topped the NDLE with a 92.40 percent score.
University of the Philippines - Los Baños, Central Mindanao University, and the University of the Philippines - Diliman emerged as the top performing schools after recording a 100 percent score.
The licensure exam posted a total of 69.73 percent national passing rate this year, lower than the 73.42 percent rate last year.
The NDLE was conducted on Nov. 5 and 6 across testing sites in NCR, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, and Zamboanga. -Loise Van Bantolo
