Thomasian ranks fifth in April 2024 Civil Eng boards

A lone Thomasian landed in the top 10 of the April 2024 Civil Engineering Licensure Examinations, results released by the Professional Regulation Commission on Friday, April 26 show.

Thomasian Jonas Abad ranked number five in the board examination with a 92.95 percent mark.

The University produced 33 new civil engineers out of its 70 examinees and posted a 47.14 percent passing rate, which was significantly lower than the 75.19 percent passing rate in the November cycle, where 197 passed the examination out of 262 examinees.

Meanwhile, Ryan Chan and Cedric Donguines of De La Salle University (DLSU)-Manila shared the number one spot, with a 94.30 percent score.

DLSU-Manila was the only top-performing school, with 84 examinees passing the examination out of the 93 who took the boards.

The Civil Engineering boards was conducted in the cities of Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last April 20 to 21.
