UST to conduct special USTET for GenSan campus

The University of Santo Tomas Office for Admissions (UST-OFAD) announced on Monday, April 22, a special UST Entrance Test (USTET) for applicants at the Mindanao campus for the upcoming academic year.

The application period for academic year 2024-2025 will run from April 23 to May 17, while the USTET will be held on May 25 at the newly inaugurated GenSan campus.

UST GenSan will offer five undergraduate programs under three academic units in its first year of operation, which are the following:

School of Business and Accountancy

  • Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System

School of Health Sciences

  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy

School of Engineering and Information Technology

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering major in Systems Engineering

The 82-hectare campus, situated in the middle of Ligaya and Katangawan, General Santos City, was inaugurated on April 11, 2024, and is set to break ground on another major campus structure, the UST-Dr. Ricardo S. Po Sr. Integrated Innovation and Research Laboratories, on April 25.

UST GenSan can accommodate about 5,000 students and is expected to have 500 students in its opening year in the third quarter of 2024. It has 24 classrooms and 23 laboratories.

Inspired by the almost century-old main building of the Manila campus, UST GenSan also poses a blue cross on top of its main building edifice.
