The University posted a 66.67 percent passing rate in the September 2023 Librarian Licensure Examination (LLE), results showed by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) on Friday, Sept. 15.
Out of its 886 examinees, UST produced six new Registered Librarians.
The University, however, failed to secure a spot for the top-performing schools in September 2023 LLE, as it requires at least 80 percent passing rate with 20 examinees.
Meanwhile, University of the East - Manila’s Zamylle Celso topped the boards with an average of 88.85 percent.
The University of the Philippines - Diliman was hailed as the top-performing school after all its 21 examinees passed the said examination.
According to the PRC, 62.64 percent passed the examination, an increase from 39.43 percent in the September 2022 LLE.
The licensure examinations for librarians were conducted in the cities of Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga last Sept. 11 and 12.
