The University’s upcoming Season 86 UAAP Kickoff Party will be held on Sept. 27, Wednesday, the Office of the Secretary-General (OSG) confirmed on Thursday, Sept. 21.

As stated in a circular released by the OSG, the Kickoff Party was set to be held at the Quadricentennial Pavilion (QPAV) Arena from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., to be followed by the parade of Thomasian athletes, and Tigers Fair beside the QPAV.

The OSG hopes that through actively participating in supporting athletes and coaches, the Thomasian spirit will be nurtured and the camaraderie will ignite.

Meanwhile, the athlete's parade will happen after the Kickoff Party and will be followed by the Tigers Fair from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Kickoff Party will be streamed live via the UST official Facebook page and UST Tiger TV.

Yellow Day

The Main Building and Arch of the Centuries will be lit in yellow on Sept. 27-30 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The OSG also encouraged the Thomasian community to wear yellow shirts on Sept. 27.

Opening ceremony of the UAAP is scheduled on Sept. 30, which will be followed by a basketball match between the Growling Tigers and the season’s host, the University of the East’s Red Warriors at 2:00 p.m.

UST was hailed as the overall champion in the senior and junior divisions of the UAAP last season.
