Golden Booters overpower Adamson

The University of Santo Tomas Goldem Booters dominated both ends of the field after defeating Adamson University, 4-1, in the UAAP season 79 football tournament, Sunday, at the Rizal Memorial Football Field in Manila.
UST secured back to back wins in the second round of the competition and now sits at the solo fourth spot with a 4-4-1 win-loss-draw record.
Tiger Renz Gumaban closed the first half after he found the net at the 40th minute, 1-0.
UST continued their aggressiveness in the second half as Marvin Bricencio scored off an Aj Pacion in the 70th minute mark.
Another goal was scored by UST’s Darryl Regala eight minutes after to extend the lead, 3-0.
The game was sealed for the Espana-based squad after Conrado Dimacali converted a long goal near the center circle in the 82nd minute of the game, 4-0
Adamson answered back with a goal of their own from Kim Bardaje in the dying moments of the game, 4-1, to avoid a shutout.

UST will be put to the test as they face the top-seeded Ateneo De Manila University Blue Booters on March 25, 6 p.m., at the same venue.
