Thomasians dominate the Nutritionist-Dietitian boards with four UST alumni in the top 10
Thomasians dominated the March 2017 licensure examinations for nutritionists and dietitians with four UST alumni in the top 10 and the University emerging as one of the best performing schools.
Thomasian Pauline Vizcarra topped this year’s board exam with a score of 87.95 followed by Cherubim Barranda who earned a score of 87.85. Vizcarra told TomasinoWeb in an online interview that she was overwhelmed at the result of the test.
Two other Thomasians in the top 10 were Anavrin Mejia who landed in the eighth spot with a score of 86.75 and Kimberly Lucas who shared the tenth place with Daniellie Lopez of UPLB, with a score of 86.55.
UST was hailed as the best performing school along with the University of the Philippines-Los Banos (UPLB), garnering a perfect passing rate in which all of the 95 examinees passed the exam.
The board exam for nutritionists and dieticians is usually on August. However, the scheduled examination on last year was postponed due to the resignation of Board Member Azucena Limbo.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 755 out of 1,047 examinees passed nationwide.
