With the postponement of this year’s Thomasian Welcome Walk (TWW), Central Student Council Vice President Raymond Angelo Gonzales expressed his sympathy to the Local Student Councils’ (LSC’s) event preparations.
“The CSC, along with all the LSCs, has dedicated great efforts with utmost preparation to assure the success of the Freshmen Walk. However, there are things that are beyond our control and the only thing that we could do now is to hope that all else will be favorable in the future,” he said.
With a signal from the Office of the Secretary General, the CSC announced the postponement of the Thomasian Welcome Walk because of the unfavorable weather condition.
“I was saddened by the postponement of the Thomasian Welcome Walk due to the unpredictable weather condition,” told Gonzales to R.A.W.R. through a text message.
Using Twitter, CSC Secretary Kendra Duran likewise shared her concern.
I hope it rains even a bit today
CSC and LSCs would surely feel bad if it won’t

As of press time, no specific date has been marked for the said event. Regular classes were observed yesterday.
Last year’s Welcome Walk was suspended three times due to the same reason. From its original date on June 23, it was moved to the 5th of August.
