UST protest turned down

UAAP Commissioner Ato Badolato turned down today the protest filed by UST on their game against ADMU last September 15.

In an interview with ABS-CBNnews.com, Badolato said that the protest filed was not accepted “because it was based on judgment calls.” The protest UST filed was for the uncalled technical foul to the Ateneo Blue Eagles head coach Norman Black and the goaltending call on Karim Abdul.

Upon finding out this decision, Coach Pido Jarencio wondered why the technical foul on Black was not counted, since it is a UAAP rule that if a coach crosses the line, a foul will be called. He also told ABS-CBNnews.com, “Masyadong obvious ‘yung ginawa sa kanila na hindi tinawagan ng technical. Bakit? Takot ba sila kay Norman Black?

On Thursday at 2:00PM, the UST Growling Tigers will face the UE Red Warriors as their last game in the eliminations round.

May balita rin ata na mag a-appeal ang UST sa UAAP Board. I just forgot kung san article ko nabasa.
