UAAP Board of Trustees, Junel Baculi and Henry Atayde, sends letter rejecting the University of Santo Tomas’ protest concerning their controversial, 66-68 loss against the Ateneo Blue Eagles last September 15, 2012.
Last Monday, UST’s appeal to UAAP Comissioner Ato Badolato was turned down, however UST elevated the protest to the UAAP Board, but earlier this afternoon, judgement remained the same for UST.
According to an interview with GMA news, Baculi said,”After careful review and deliberation, the technical committee upholds the decision, and thereby the protest is denied…These were judgment calls, therefore not subject to protest.”
UST is currently in the second spot with 10-4 standing after defeating the UE Red Warriors earlier this afternoon.
